| A Brief History of the Reunions |
Since their inauguration in 1991, our
family reunions have been repeated every other year. In addition, there are
other events the RFA has sponsored, and some that family members have attended
and participated in as representatives of the RFA and the family.
These are more than social gatherings of family members. Each event is intended
to educate the present family members and the public about the historic role
past family members and their community played in the development of our nation.
They encompass many periods of our nation’s history and numerous personal
associations, events, and contributions, which influenced this history. And,
their locations are as varied as our nation’s westward expansion.
